Evening Music Lessons Resume April 15

Preserving Our Southern Appalachian Musicians, Inc. offers lessons in guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo.

If you've ever wanted to learn to play traditional mountain music instrument, you may wanted to sign up for a lessons offered by the Young Appalachian Musicians program.

The next session of the Evening Music program will begin the week of Monday, April 15. The program is designed to teach students to play Appalachian music with acoustic instruments. Lessons are open to all ages (third grade through adults). Instruments include guitar, fiddle (old time or bluegrass), mandolin and banjo (claw hammer or bluegrass).

The six-week sessions will be held at the following locations:

  1. Easley First Baptist Church in Easley (Tuesday nights)

  2. Pickens Senior Center (Monday & Thursday nights)

  • Saint Paul United Methodist Church – downtown Greenville (Thursday nights)

  • Clemson – location and day to be determined.

  • The cost is $60 per six-week session and instruments rental is available for $25 per six-week session. The enrollment period is from March 25-April 15. Anyone interested in signing up for one of these sessions one of the following Program Directors:
