Family Promise Meeting to Address Needs of Homeless in Pickens County

With a mission to help the homeless in Pickens County, Family Promise will present information on the Interfaith Hospitality Network.

At 7 p.m. Tuesday at , the community can learn how the Interfaith Hospitality Network works and how it could help those in need in Easley.

The model, once established, would bring church congregations in Pickens County together to provide, on a rotating basis, overnight accommodations and meals for homeless families.

The Family Promise Network Program brings shelter, meals and support services to families without homes. With the partnership of church members and volunteers, the program can begin quickly and without major start-up costs.

Family Promise is an interfaith-based hospitality network in 41 states.
