Final Suspect Arrested in Clemson Student's Death

The final suspect in the death of a Clemson University student was arrested Friday in Toccoa, Ga.

Lesley Mosley Jr., 18, of Cameron, N.C., was arrested around 6:20 p.m. at Budget Inn in Toccoa, after investigators received information that he may be staying at the hotel.

Mosley, along with three others, has been charged in connection with a home invasion, robbery and murder that occurred at 201 Smoke Rise Drive in the Chimney Ridge complex in Central and resulted in the death of Clemson University student Steven Gregory Grich.

Mosley waived extradition to South Carolina and was returned back to the Pickens County Detention Center around 11 p.m. Friday. He is charged with two counts of armed robbery, first degree burglary, murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

At a hearing Saturday morning, Mosley was denied bond.

Law enforcement kept Mosley under surveillance until Pickens County Sheriff deputies along with deputies form Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Stephens County Georgia Sheriff’s Office and the United States assisted in making the arrest.

"This arrest is the result of outstanding cooperation among all the agencies involved with this joint effort to locate Mosley by agents with Pickens and Oconee Sheriff’s Offices, Clemson University PD, Clemson City PD and SLED and the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force," according to Pickens County Asst. Sheriff Tim Morgan. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the Grich family this Christmas season."
