The annual event is a great way for you and your children to meet firefighters, police and others who keep the community safe every day.

Refreshments will be served at the Open House.

“It’s really a great event,” said City Administrator Fox Simons.

On Saturday, Easley firefighters will be at area intersections for their annual Boot Drive.

Each year, firefighters use the Boot Drive to collect money for the Easley to the Jeff Chavis House in Augusta, Ga, which assists family members who have family being treated at the Augusta Burn Center.

Families are able to stay at the Jeff Chavis House while their loved ones are receiving treatment.

“These funds help support that,” Simons said. “It’s a good cause.”
