Free Information Session on Identity Protection

Cossban Software and Networking offering "advice you can actually use" on identity theft and scam awareness and FBI alerts.

Identify theft has been on the minds of many South Carolina residents, following the breach of the Department of Revenue last year. 

An upcoming free event will share information about scams and viruses that you need to know. 

Cossban Software and Networking, LLC will host the event from 11:30am - 1pm Tuesday, February 12 at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, located at 24 Cleveland Street, Greenville.

CossBan will be going over some of the latest scams and alerts provided to the public by the FBI and US-Cert (US computer emergency readiness team) as well as how to avoid identity theft, what to do if your identity is compromised, freeze/lock your credit bureau reports for protection.

Email spoofing, virus awareness/defense and how to safely test antivirus software will also be covered at the session.

A CD with all class information, links, software, etc. will be given to all attendees.
