Friday is Shop Local Day in Pickens
Pickens Businesses Celebrate "Third Friday" with refreshments and extended hours.
Pickens City Council has named Friday, November 16 “Shop Local Day” in the City of Pickens, in support of a grassroots effort by area businesses to encourage more people to shop uptown Pickens.
The “Third Friday” initiative launched last month, and is going strong.
Participating businesses stay open later, and offer refreshments and incentives for shoppers who visit during “Third Friday” events.

This Friday's event will be held from 6pm – 9pm. Shops and restaurants in uptown Pickens will be taking part.
The Court Street Galley, as well as other locales, will be offering refreshments.

The EOW Band and other Pickens High School groups will offer live entertainment that night.
Participating merchants include Court Street Gallery, Stockade & Stuff Antiques, Nestfeathers, The Avocado Tree, Shabby & Chic, Bee Well Honey & Bee's Beans, Main Street Treasures, The Burning Brick Restaurant and Bar and The Gatehouse Restaurant.
