Gloria Morris, Executive Director of The Parenting Place, recently asked for Easley City Council’s support, sharing some shocking statistics with them about Pickens County
“We are now number one in the entire state for neglect of children. We are number five in the state for sexual abuse of children, Morris said.” Almost 90 percent of our clients were abuse victims themselves. So for us to break the cycle of abuse, we need to get them to hope, we need to get them to healing, we need to create a plan for their education and employment.”
There are a number of ticket options for the Gala, which will feature great food and great music, with proceeds going toward a great cause.
Reserved tables of 8 are $250 per table.
Tickets are $50 per couple, or $30 per person.
You can also make donations of $25 or more in memory or in honor of a loved one. A card will be sent to the individual or family.
For an additional $100 donation, your engraved nameplate will be added to our “Champions for Children” plaque that will be on display at the Gala.
All donations and ticket purchases are tax deductible.
