
Jackie Brown Massingill, 72, of Mary Ann Street, and husband of the late Mickie Collins Massingill, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Nesbitt Ray Massingill and Susie Merck Massingill.
Mr. Massingill was a retired Manager from Bi-Lo and was a member of the Bates Masonic Lodge #189 A.F.M. in Easley.

Surviving is a son, Jackie Anthony Massingill (Amy) of Easley; four grandchildren, Van Anthony Massingill, Alicia Joy Massingill, Kristyn Marie Massingill and Ellie Grace Massingill; two brothers, Gerald Massingill of Columbia and Donnie Massingill of Table Rock; and six sisters, Helen Capell, Audrey Rogers, Shirley Clontz, Barbara Aiken and Judy Burdine all of Easley and Sally Swartz of Arden, NC.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Kathleen Johnson and three brothers, Ralph, Ray Lewis, and Marshall Massingill.

A service to celebrate Jackie’s life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at the funeral home.
