John Harden Scholarship Application Deadline is April 5
Those eligible to apply for scholarship include students from Pickens High School, Liberty High School, Prince Avenue Prep., Lakeview Christian School, and Soaring Eagles Christian Academy

Cannon Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is now accepting applications for the John Harden Scholarship.
The $2,000 scholarship, established in memory of Dr. John M. Harden, is awarded annually to a person continuing their education to work in a healthcare field.
Eligible candidates are students from Pickens High School, Liberty High School, Prince Avenue Prep., Lakeview Christian School, and Soaring Eagles Christian Academy.

Also eligible are employees and volunteers of Cannon Memorial Hospital and their spouses and children age 25 or under and employees of physician, eye care and dental offices in Liberty and Pickens.
The scholarship was developed by the Cannon Memorial Hospital Auxiliary to honor the memory of Dr. Harden, an outstanding surgeon who devoted his life to serving Cannon Memorial Hospital and the people of Pickens County.

Funding for this scholarship has been provided through a bequest from the late William G. Acker, a dedicated trustee and friend of Cannon Memorial Hospital.
Applications may be obtained from the guidance counselors at the schools or by contacting Amanda Cooper at Cannon Memorial Hospital (864) 898-1334.
The deadline for returning completed applications and applicants’ references is April 5, 2013.
