Easley High School football standout Jordan Hennessee made the next stage of his athletic career officials Wednesday, as he signed with Wingate University.
Hennessee, an offensive tackle, was one of four football players who signed with schools Wednesday afternoon.
EHS Athletic Director Chris Carter said the four students earned more than $500,000 in scholarships.

He told a story that demonstrated both the Green Wave's fierceness and the team's fondness for Jordan.
Carter recalled being on the practice field with Sam Wyche days before a Food Fight Bowl, a fundraiser for Pickens County Meals on Wheels that draws on the rivalry between Easley and Pickens.

Coach Wyche and Carter were witness to a “free for all” fight that broke out after practice.
“The fight was over the fact that one of the kids in line for a drill stepped in front of Jordan and took his turn,” Carter said. “It was as good a fight as you could see and I’m standing there with a Hall of Fame coach, who’s coached in the Super Bowl, and he turns to me and says, ‘What do you think about that?’”
Carter knew just what to say.
“I turned to him and I said, ‘Coach, it’s been a long time since our guys were mean enough to fight - that don’t bother me a bit,’” Carter said.
"Jordan is signing to play ball in the fall of 2013 at Wingate University,” Carter said. “Way to go, Jordan!”
