Liberty High Teacher Dies After Horseback Riding Accident

Counselors will be on hand today to help students and staff deal with the loss of Pam Scott, an English teacher at the school.

On Friday, counselors from neighboring school districts and area churches will be on hand at Liberty High School to help faculty, staff and students deal with the death of a teacher.

On Thursday evening, Pam Scott, an English teacher at the school, died as a result of injuries she sustained during a horseback riding accident.

“Pam touched all of us in many ways,” said Lori Gwinn, principal. “She began her career in our district at Gettys Middle School and came to LHS about 10 years ago. She had made plans to retire at the end of this school year and was looking forward to many adventures. She will be missed dearly.”
