Literacy Group Sets Date for Spring Book Sale

The Pickens County Literacy Association has set the dates for their semi-annual Used Book Sale at Pickens Presbyterian Church, located at 311 West Main Street.

The sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 22 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 23.

Thanks to the generosity of the PCLA’s many donors, there are thousands of hard and paperback books, children's books, cookbooks, self-help books, coffee table books and more.  Audio books, CDs, DVDs, cassettes and tapes will also be on sale.

Proceeds from this fund raiser help the PCLA continue its program of volunteer tutors helping adults improve their reading skills. For more information on the literacy program or the upcoming used book sale, call 878-9642 or 639-2925.
