Local Artisans Sought For Community Event in December
Holy Trinity Bazaar and Artisan Market aims to showcase local artisans while raising money for area charities.

For more years than anyone can remember, the women of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Clemson, SC, have sponsored an annual bazaar on the first Saturday of December to raise funds for community charities. Proceeds have been used to support groups like Clemson Community Care, Our Daily Bread of Seneca, The Salvation Army (Oconee and Pickens), and Helping Hands of Clemson.
This year, the annual event is incorporating a new twist, thanks to chairperson Kathy Crouse, long-time parish member and active supporter of its outreach efforts.
Rebranded as Holy Trinity Bazaar and Artisan Market, the event hopes to attract local artisans who wish to showcase and sell their work. Their only investment is a $40 participation fee, which will be donated to local charities.

“We want to take our annual bazaar to the next level where we not only offer the crafts and homemade cooking of our devoted church women, but also the arts and crafts of accomplished artists in the region who are looking for an outlet to share their work,” said Crouse. “We think doing so will be a win-win for everyone involved – our church, local artists, and the community.”
Over the years, the annual bazaar has featured a variety of home-made and hand-crafted goods, including themed gift baskets, baked goods, jewelry, plant cuttings, collectables, and a silent auction. “We’ll continue to offer these annual favorites, which local people have come to love and look forward to each year,” said Crouse. “We hope to attract more people by including the sale of work by local artisans.”

All proceeds raised from the sale of the items made by the church members will be donated to local charities, along with the artisan fees.
The annual bazaar is scheduled for December 1 from 10am – 2pm in the parish hall at Holy Trinity Church in Clemson.
A preview event will be held the evening before (November 30) from 7-9pm for people who wish to purchase crafts early. A fee of $15 will be charged for the preview event and wine and cheese will be served.
According to Crouse, helping the less fortunate is a high priority of Holy Trinity. “We take a very hands-on approach to outreach in our community. We don’t just write checks – we give to others through our time and talent, too. The money we raise during this event is just one of the many ways we try help those in need in our area,” said Crouse.
