Mini Mustang Botanical Garden

Fall planting is in progress in the Mini Mustang Botanical Garden located at Palmetto Elementary.   

Students in Mrs. Gail Patton’s special needs classroom are busy planting the flowers and bulbs they selected and purchased on a recent field trip to Lowes. 

Russell Brock is pictured carefully placing a mum in the hole he dug in one of the raised planters.   

The students created the botanical garden in 2006.  This is an on-going service learning project that provides students with year round learning opportunities.
