Nominations for 2013 Young Careerist Sought

Easley Business and Professional Women's Organization seeking nominations for 2013 Pickens Young Careerist Award.

The Easley Business and Professional Women’s Organization (EBPW) is now accepting nominations for the prestigious 2013 Pickens County BPW Young Careerist Award. To qualify, young careerist representatives must meet the following criteria:

  • Be between the ages of 21 and 35, inclusive, by July 31st following the first competition in which she/he participates;
  • Be or have been employed in business or professions, with a minimum of one (1) year of full-time work experience;

  • Participants must submit application and prepare a four (4) minute speech for the EBPW local competition by February 11, 2013.

The local EBPW- Young Careerist competition will be held on February 20, 2013 at 12:30pm at the Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library in Easley, SC. The winner of the local competition will then move on to compete for the title of South Carolina Business Professional Women’s Young Careerist. The South Carolina Conference will be held on April 20, 2013 in Greenville, SC. All expenses to the SCBPW conference will be paid by the local EBPW organization.

The business and Professional Women’s Mission Statement is to achieve equality for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information; to promote interest of business and professional women; to bring about a spirit of cooperation among business and professional women; and to expand opportunities to business and professional women through education along the lines of industrial, scientific and vocational activities.
