Obituary: Gloria Winona Black of Easley

Black was laid to rest Monday.

Gloria Winona LaBoone Raines Black, 85, of Easley, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, February 16, 2013.

Mrs. Black was born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late James Oliver and Selma Luvenia Gambrell LaBoone. She was retired from The Singer Company in Pickens and was a member of Corinth #1 Baptist Church in Easley.

Survivors include her son, James H. Raines and his wife Paula Janea of Easley, grandchildren, Brad Raines, Benji Raines, and Brett Raines and his wife Donna, five great grandchildren and a sister, Betty Jean Barnes.

Mrs. Black was twice married, first to the late William Henry Raines, then to John Olar Black. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James LaBoone, West LaBoone, and Joe Billy LaBoone.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Monday, February 18, 2013 at Corinth #1 Baptist Church in Easley with a graveside service following in the church cemetery at 2 PM.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of MTS and to the staff and nurses on 4A and 4C at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
