Officers Who Assisted Injured Trooper to be Recognized Monday

Law enforcement officers who pulled an Upstate trooper from a fiery crash will be honored during Monday's City Council meeting.

Four officers will be recognized Monday for their roles in assisting an Upstate member of the S.C. Highway Patrol, after a fiery crash in Easley.

The S.C. Highway Patrol and the S.C. Department of Public Safety will honor officers from Easley Police Department and Pickens County Sheriff’s Office who helped pull .

The Highway Patrol will present these officers with a special award, commending them for their bravery and courage, according to a release from the agency.

Bratcher's family is expected to be in attendance and read a letter from the trooper, who is still recovering from the crash.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Easley Law Enforcement Center.
