One Escaped Inmate Captured

One of the two Pickens County Detention Center inmates who escaped Tuesday has been apprehended. 

Jonathan Dean Moody was apprehended at noon today in a wooded area just north of Highway 178, less than one mile from the Detention Center.

The other inmate, Rickylee Smith, remains at large.

The two men escaped from the medium security section of the Detention Center shortly after 8pm last night.

Moody was being held on multiple charges including armed robbery, grand larcency, manufacture and distribution of meth and receiving stolen property.

Smith was being held on a number of charges, including several counts of burglary and larceny.
