“Pickens County Has Talent” Contest Returns
Winner will be crowned during live concert on February 23

It’s time for Pickens County’s stars to step into the spotlight for the second annual “Pickens County Has Talent” competition.
The School District of Pickens County is setting the stage for talents ranging from breathtaking to bizarre, with a winner to be crowned in a live concert on February 23 at the Easley High School Auditorium.
Auditions will be held at the four county high schools—Daniel High, Easley High, Liberty High and Pickens High—and are open to anyone who lives or works in Pickens County.

Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships go to the school district to help pay for supplies for teachers, and the winner receives a cash prize.

January 19th, 10 a.m. –Daniel High School
January 19th, 10 a.m. –Pickens High School
February 2nd,10 a.m. --Easley High School
Feb. 9th, 10 a.m. –Liberty High School
12 contestants will be chosen from each audition to compete in a preliminary concert for each of the four areas.
Of those twelve, three finalists from each area will be chosen by audience vote for the final contest, and the judges have the option to “Save” a fourth contestant.
Show times are:
January 26th, 6 p.m. –Pickens High School – Pickens Region
February 2nd, 6 p.m. –Daniel High School – Clemson/Central Region
February 9th,6 p.m. --Easley High School – Easley Region
February 16th, 6 p.m. –Liberty High School – Liberty Region
February 23rd, 6 p.m. –Easley High School – Grand Finale!
The district will post updates about the competition on the Pickens County Has Talent Facebook Page and Twitter Account (@PCHasTalent).
Danielle Yother, last year’s winner with a talent-trifecta of vocals, guitar and mandolin, will be giving an encore performance at the Grand Finale.
Tickets for each show are $5 per seat.
