UPDATED: Pickens County Officials Investigating Murder-Suicide

Pickens County authorities are investigating an apparent murder-suicide.

According to Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley, the male and female were found dead inside a home at 100 Red Oak Court around 6 p.m. Monday.

Kelley said that the female has been identified as Kelly Denise Metcalf, 42, and the male has been identified as Jeffrey Scott Carroll, 49.

According to an article on WYFF, Nicole Davis, Metcalf's daughter, said she was the one to find the bodies in the bedroom of the home.

Davis told the television station that her mother and Carroll had planned to be married and that her mother had just put money down on a wedding dress.

Kelley said the case is under investigation by the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and the Pickens County Coroner's Office.
