Pickens Man Sentenced to 10 Years in Child Molestation Case

A 28-year-old Pickens man was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty last week to sexually molesting a 4-year-old boy.

Dustin Keil Stanton was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday. On May 31, Stanton pleaded guilty to committing a lewd act on a child under the age of 16.

Evidence presented in court established that between December 2007 and November 2008, Stanton had molested a minor child. According to documents released by the 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office, Stanton was arrested in September 2010 after a family member reported the abuse to the Department of Social Services.
