Pickens Walmart Now Hiring

Hiring has begun for the Pickens Walmart location.

According to city officials, Walmart of Pickens is seeking to hire full time, part time and temporary workers for its new store, which is slated to open April 10.

They hope to provide jobs for 150-170 people.

Walmart has set up a hiring facility on Main Street, in the former Dallas Ball Law Office.

Pickens learned Walmart would open a location in the city in 2011.

Architects told city officials the new store, located off of Highway 8. would be a 93,000 square foot store, and would include a 7,000 square foot Garden Center, a full service pharmacy and between 17,000 – 20,000 square feet of grocery space.
