Powdersville Advance Auto Holding Trunk or Treat and Car Show

Powdersville's Advance Auto Parts location is hosting a Trunk or Treat and Car Show on Saturday, October 27.

Jeff Israel, Retail Parts Pro with the Advance Auto, says the event kicks off at 3pm.

“There's no set ending time at this point,” Israel said. “It just depends on the number of kids who show up. It's mainly about the kids, showing them some of the older cars and getting the guys who have all those cars out there to show them off also.”

The car show will feature race cars, classic cars and antiques, he said.

If you have a cool ride you'd like to show off, come on out tomorrow, Israel said.

“Just bring candy for the kids,” he said.

The event aims to provide “a nice, safe environment for kids” for trick-or-treating, so families don't have to go through unfamiliar neighborhoods, Israel said.

“It's just not safe anymore,” he said.

He hopes the Trunk or Treat and Car Show will become an annual event.

“We'll see how this one goes,” Israel said. “Maybe next year, we'll have some voting on cars for some kind of prizes. We just want to see how this one turns out.”

Advance Auto Parts is located at 3200 Highway 153 in Powdersvlle.
