Raines Road Crash Victims Identified

Two Easley residents killed in single-car accident.

The victims of a fatal single-car traffic accident have been identified.

Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said the victims were Easley residents  Grover Wesley Myrick, 28, and Crystal Marlene Batson, 25, both of Humminbird Lane. 

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the wreck, which happened around 9:11 p.m. Wednesday at Raines Road and Highway 186.

The 1997 Oldsmobile SUV vehicle was traveling east on Raines Road when the driver ran off the left side of the road, over-corrected and ran off the right side of the road. The vehicle then overturned, troopers said.

Both Myrick and Batson were ejected from the vehicle. They were not wearing seatbelts, troopers said.
