Ruby M. Childress

Mrs. Ruby McCombs Childress, 94, wife of the late Thomas Lynn Childress, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

Born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Jesse and Marie Hawkins McCombs, Mrs. Childress was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Yvonne Simmons and Alice Revis, both of Easley; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Childress was predeceased by a son, Ansel Childress, four brothers and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Wayne Garmon and Rev. Bobby Caldwell officiating. 

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at .
