Run for 51 Extends Discounted Registrations

Cost to enter special event held in memory of Easley High School Student Daniel Smith will be discounted until April 12

Organizers behind the upcoming Run for 51 have extended the discounted registration period until April 12.

As Easley Patch reported last week, the event aims to raise money for Safe Harbor and awareness about domestic violence.

The event is being held Saturday, April 20 at Easley High School in honor of Daniel Smith, an Easley High School student who lost his life to domestic violence last year, along with his mother Sandra Lee Michelle Smith Thomas.

During the Run for 51, participants will run or walk for 51 minutes.

Registration is $15.51 until April 12. Participants who sign up before April 12 will receive a T-shirt.

After April 12, the price rises to $20 and does not include a T-shirt. Registration forms are available at Gettys Middle School.
