Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary Halloween Fundraiser

An upstate exotic animal sanctuary is opening its doors on October 27^th for a Halloween special.  Safe Haven & Educational Adventures, Inc. is inviting anyone that would like to see and support the animals to come to their open house. 

They will be open with free admission between 11 am and 4 pm. 

Special events include a (not-so-scary) Haunted Maze and a costume contest at 2:00 PM. Safe Haven’s Adventure Day will also have opportunities to touch (some of) the animals, food, raffles, silent auctions, games and Halloween themed crafts for the kids. 

Mouth-watering barbeque is provided by Swine Em & Dine Em, a barbeque competition team. 

This is the sanctuary’s largest fundraiser of the year to generate support for the animals. 

To find Safe Haven take 183(Farrs Bridge Road) into Easley (Dacusville) and turn onto Thomas Mill Road beside the Spinx Station.  Look for signs from there.  Anyone with questions should contact Safe Haven at 864-246-4425 orSafeHavenAnimals@aol.com. 

Safe Haven is a sanctuary that takes in and specializes in the unusual animals such as parrots, lizards, monkeys and a whole lot more.  As a fully licensed, 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation, it is a permanent sanctuary for rescued exotic wildlife and home to nearly 250 animals. 

The wide variety of animals have stories that include abandonment, abuse, confiscation or loss of their home through death of owner.  

It is Safe Haven’s goal to provide high quality, safe homes for unwanted animals and to educate the community about the environment and the importance of responsible animal care and ownership. 

They are governed by a board of directors that includes local veterinarians, zoological and educational professionals consulting, supporting and providing the best care possible.
