Sam Lusk Retires from PWD Board

Lusk thanked for 13 years of service to the Powdersville Water District

Sam Lusk recently left the Powdersville Water District (PWD) Board of Directors after serving for 13 years. A plaque commemorating his years of service was presented to him at the December board meeting. Sam has been a customer of PWD since it began operation in 1971.

During Sam’s  tenure he has faithfully worked with the Board to make dramatic technological changes including implementing computer controls for tanks and valves and converting all meters from manual read to meters that can be read electronically. He was on the Board when it recruited PWD’s first General Manager, Dyke Spencer. “He has been a true public servant in the water industry and has been directly involved in many good changes that have helped this community develop in a proactive fashion,” Spencer commented.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of this Board,” said Mr. Lusk. “I appreciate the friendships I’ve made and will miss the board members and employees of PWD.”
