SWU Group Views Significant Biblical Artifacts

Exhibit seen by Southern Wesleyan University students, faculty, staff and alumni included portions of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Southern Wesleyan University students, faculty, staff and alumni traveled to Charlotte Feb. 5 to tour the "Passages" exhibit, featuring Biblical artifacts in the collection of the family of Steve Green, President of Hobby Lobby.

The exhibit featured ancient biblical manuscripts which included portions of the Dead Sea Scrolls, as well as interactive displays devoted to the Bible’s history, translation efforts and printing.

The group heard a presentation from Dr. Scot McKendrick, the Head of History and Classical Study at the British Library, about scribes of the Great Western Manuscripts.
