UPDATED: Teen Killed in Early Morning Crash in Pickens County
The wreck happened around 2:45 a.m. on Furman Smith Memorial Highway

A 19-year-old man was killed in a crash in Pickens County Wednesday morning.
According to Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley, the driver has been identified as Randy Gibbs, Jr., of 306 West B. Ave., Easley.
Highway Patrol said Gibbs was just south of Six Mile, heading west on Furman Smith Highway, when his vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck a tree and overturned.

The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. Gibbs was not wearing a seat belt and died of blunt force trauma to the head, Kelley said.
The crash is under investigation.
