The Tempest Trio to perform April 4 at Clemson's Brooks Center
Free concert part of Utsey Chamber Music Series.

Combining technical mastery, expressive depth and performance experience, The Tempest Trio presents the last concert this season of the Utsey Chamber Music Series at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Clemson’s Brooks Center for the Performing Arts.
The concert is free.
Pianist Alon Goldstein, violinist Ilya Kaler and cellist Amit Peled have traveled together and performed in numerous cities throughout the United States and in Germany. While each virtuoso member of the ensemble has a successful solo career, together they bring vitality to the concert stage with dynamic musical interplay and collaborative spirit.

The first half of the program features Beethoven's Trio for Violin, Cello, and Piano in B flat; "Theme from Schindler’s List for Cello and Piano" by John Williams; Paraphrase on Verdi’s "Aida" (dance and finale duet) S. 436 by Franz Liszt; and Scherzo in c minor from F.A.E. Sonata for Violin and Piano by Johannes Brahms. The second half will be Anton Dvorak’s Trio for Violin, Cello, and Piano in f minor, Op. 65.
The Lillian and Robert Utsey Chamber Music Series
For 26 years, Clemson University’s award-winning Utsey Chamber Music Series has presented 119 free chamber music concerts and continues with seven more in its 27th year. Recognized for outstanding programming and community service, the series has earned national accolades for showcasing the best soloists and ensembles in the genre. In 2007, the university received an Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Governor’s Award for the Arts, South Carolina’s highest arts award, for outstanding contributions made by the Utsey Chamber Music Series to the arts in the Palmetto State.
