Tri-County Tech Offering Grant Writing Class
Registration begins February 11 for course at Anderson campus.

The Tri-County Technical College’s Corporate and Community Education Division will offer a Grant Writing class February 28 - March 28 on Thursdays from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Anderson Campus. Registration begins February 11.
This class will assist non-profit representatives, community volunteers, educators, faith-based organizations and others in developing successful grant proposals. Students will learn the basic components of a grant proposal, as well as the steps in proposal development, as they work through the class activities.
Students will learn how to:Â develop a grant idea, identify potential funding sources, identify the common elements of a proposal, write an effective problem statement, learn how to link elements of the proposal, develop goals and objectives, develop a project budget, identify at least three possible funding sources for a project idea, and learn basic facts about grant making and granting agencies.Â

In addition, this class will provide students with the basic skills, confidence and know-how to develop a successful grant proposal. The class will be taught by Sarah Burns, a successful grant writer.
The class costs $225.
