Update: No Evidence That Students Were Given Controlled Substances

Two Pickens County School District Employees arrested on drug charges. Kimberly Dawn Anthony and Daniel John Fahey were both arrested and charged with multiple counts of distributing marijuana near a school.

Update: 5:10pm, Sunday, September 30 

A spokesman for the School District of Pickens County says it appears that the two district employees arrested Friday evening for selling marijuana did not give drugs to students. 

"In light of the arrest of two district employees, we understand that there is concern about whether controlled substances were distributed to our students." said SDPC Public Information Specialist. "Easley Police investigators have informed the school district that they have no evidence of controlled substances being given to students in this case."

A Pickens County middle school teacher and the district's School-to-work facilitator at central services were arrested for selling marijuana.

WSPA reports that on Friday evening Easley Police a search warrant at a home on Roper Street.

Kimberly Dawn Anthony, 43, of and Daniel John Fahey, 48, both of Easley, face various drug charges.

Anthony, a keyboarding teacher at Gettys Middle School, is charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance, distribution close to a school, distribution of a controlled substance within close proximity of a school, two counts of distribution of marijuana, two counts of distribution of marijuana within close proximity of a school, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana within proximity to a school.

Fahey, the district's School-to-work facilitator, is charged with distribution within proximity of a school, distribution of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance near a school, two counts of distribution of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana near a school.

Anthony’s bond was set at $250,000. Fahey’s bond was set at $150,000.
