United Way, Americorps Offering Free Tax Assistance

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance will be held at area library branches. Call 211 to make an appointment.

Need help with your taxes? United Way and Americorps are teaming up again to provide free tax help through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Those whose annual household incomes are under $50,000 qualify for this free tax assistance.

The 2013 program kicked off January 23 and will be hosted by area library branches.

Tax returns are filed by IRS trained and certified volunteers.

VITA tax assistance will be held 11 – 2pm Mondays and Wednesdays, 4-8pm Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11am-3pm Fridays and 10am – 3pm Saturdays at the Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library in Easley.

The Village Branch Library in Pickens will hold appointments from 11am – 3pm Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and 10am – 2pm on Tuesdays.

Appointments will be held 10am – 1pm Mondays and Tuesdays and 10am – 2pm on Fridays at the Central Clemson Regional Branch.
