Walmart Hiring 275 for Powdersville Store
Easley Walmart will host Walmart Connect hiring event January 24.

Walmart will hire approximately 275 associates to work at the new Walmart store slated to open this spring in Powdersville. To provide a convenient location for applicants to apply for jobs, the retailer has opened a temporary hiring center at 115 Siloam Road, across the street from Siloam Baptist Church and next to Concrete Elementary School.
The hiring center opened Thursday, Dec. 28, and interested applicants can stop by during the center’s hours of operation, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Applicants can also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com
Additionally, on Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the Powdersville store will host Walmart Connect, a hiring event at the Easley Walmart (115 Rolling Hills Road).

“We are hiring both full- and part-time associates,” said store manager Ginny Marhanka. “Walmart provides good jobs with opportunities for career growth, and we look forward to talking with candidates who are interested in joining our store’s team.” Marhanka began her Walmart career as an hourly associate in 1990 in the apparel department at a store in Greensburg, Ind.
Marhanka said associates are needed to work in all areas of the new store, including supervisory positions.

Walmart’s benefit program is available to eligible full- and part-time associates and provides a variety of affordable health and well-being benefits including health-care coverage with no lifetime maximum. Walmart also offers eligible associates matching 401(k) contributions of up to 6 percent of pay, discounts on general merchandise, an Associate Stock Purchase Program and company-paid life insurance. Additionally, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive based on store performance.
The majority of associates will begin work in February to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
