Wednesday's Powerball jackpot has been adjusted to $500 million, making it the largest jackpot in the game's history.
The jackpot has grown to a record pot because no one has matched the winning numbers in 15 straight drawings.

Tickets for Wednesday night’s drawing must be purchased before 9:59 p.m. for the 10:59 p.m. drawing. Tickets are $2 and available at lottery retailer statewide.
The odds of winning are about one in 176 million.

Lottery officials say the winner can elect a cash option of $327 million, officials said.
Powerball is played in 42 states, including South Carolina, as well as the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
HOW TO PLAY POWERBALL

Drawings are held on Wednesday and Saturday evenings at 10:59. During the drawing, six numbers are drawn: five white ball numbers and the red Powerball number. The jackpot starts at $40 million. Matching all six numbers wins the jackpot. There are eight other ways to match and win prizes up to $1 million. In addition, players may choose to purchase the PowerPlay option. With the purchase of PowerPlay, all non-jackpot winnings will be increased to the set PowerPlay prize amount.
