Clemson-USC rivalry spurs collection drive for United Christian Ministries

West End Elementary students and staff participated in a Clemson versus Carolina food drive to benefit United Christian Ministries this Thanksgiving season.

The battle ran throughout the month of November, and the final results deemed Clemson the winner with 1,425 food items to Carolina’s 564 for a grand total of 1,989 donations.

The initiative was entitled “Cans for a Cause,” and was organized by West End’s student council along with guidance counselor Jessica Smith.
