Woman Charged in Deadly Crash Misses Court

A warrant has been issued for her arrest

A woman charged in a fatal wreck last year in Pickens County was expected in court on Thursday afternoon.

Several media outlets have reported that Julie Mason, 46, did not show up for her scheduled 2 p.m. hearing. A warrant has been issued for her arrest, according to WSPA.

Mason was charged last year with two counts of felony driving under the influence resulting in death and two counts of driving under the influence resulting in great bodily injury.

According to an article by WSPA, Mason was charged after crossing a center line on Highway 8 and striking a state-issued vehicle. Chrystal Nicole Harrrison, 36, of Seneca, and Raven Alania Stancell, 9, of Pickens, died at the scene.
