“This event not only allows visitors to have fun, but it also gives them a tremendous amount of knowledge as well,” said Tom Swayngham of the S.C. Department of Natural Resources. “By teaching visitors to safely enjoy the outdoor resources available to them, we hope to create life-long hobbies they can participate in for years to come.”
Visitors may bring their own lunches, or purchase hotdogs from an onsite concessionaire. A free parking shuttle will be available from the Oconee Nuclear Station parking area off of Hwy 130.
