YMCA's Share the Spirit Golf Tournament is Nov. 7

YMCA Share the Spirit Golf Tournament

The Pickens County YMCA is preparing for its 16^th Annual Share the Spirit Golf Tournament. The tournament will be held on Wednesday, November 7th and will be played at Smithfields Country Club in Easley.

The money raised will go to benefit the “Share the Spirit” campaign which funds scholarships for children and families in the community so they may have the opportunity to experience the YMCA. Without this financial help they may never have been able to do so.

Christy McCall, Administrative Director for the Pickens County YMCA said, “this year we have seen a 16% increase in the need for afterschool and summer camp scholarships.  The YMCA has had to tell families that they do not have any scholarships available for their children because we don't have the funds.  This is heartbreaking since a lot of these families cannot send their children to our program without financial assistance and the children absolutely need this.”
