AC Units Stolen from Pawn Shop, Tax Service

Unknown suspects make off with three air conditioning units at two Goose Creek businesses.

Thieves hit two Goose Creek businesses over the weekend, taking three air conditioning units at a shopping center on North Goose Creek Boulevard.

Gene's Jewelry and Pawn Shop, and Diana P. Thompkins Tax Services were allegedly victimized, according to a Goose Creek Police report. The pawn shop had two units stolen, and the tax preparer had one unit stolen.Β

The pawn shop's units were mounted on the roof, and Thompkins Tax Services' unit was mounted on the ground. Neither business owner said the units were removed for work.Β 

The discovery was made 8 a.m. Monday. According to the pawn shop's contractor Brian White, the units were in place Friday afternoon.
