Berkeley County Teacher of the Year 2013: Stephanie Wallace

Hanahan Elementary and Stratford High teachers also recognized.

At the 36th annual breakfast hosted by the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, Santee Cooper and TridentΒ Technical College on Friday, April 12, Berkeley County School District’s 40 school-level Teachers of theΒ Year were honored and recognized for the impact they make in children’s lives.

At the end of the banquet, Stephanie Wallace, a Nationally Board Certified educator who has been in the profession forΒ eight years, was announced as the recipient of the district’s top honor. Wallace teaches a first and second gradeΒ multiage class, which is based on a model that she and a colleague piloted six years ago. Wallace teaches at Berkeley Elementary in Moncks Corner.Β 

The district’s two other 2013 Honor Roll teachers are Heather Bradshaw of Hanahan Elementary and Meg WardΒ of Stratford High.Β
