A motorcyclist has died following an evening wreck Wednesday after he was ejected from his bike and subsequently run over, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
Allen James, 62, of Charleston was traveling in a group of motorcycles northbound on 17-A. The wreck occurred at near the intersection of 176. James was no wearing a helmet.
After being ejected from his bike, a sedan traveling the same direction ran over James. At Trident Hospital, he was pronounced dead. His death was ruled accidental and caused by head and body trauma.

The accident was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the Goose Creek Police Department.
