Family of 9 Displace by Goose Creek Fire

An early Wednesday morning electrical fire in Goose Creek has displaced four children and five adults, and killed the family's dog, Live 5 News reported.

American Red Cross volunteers assisted the Goose Creek family. The nonprofit reported home was badly damaged by fire this morning.Β

The Red Cross provided the family with temporary housing in a nearby hotel, financial assistance to help replace the food and clothing lost in the fire and comfort kits filled with personal emergency supplies as well as toys for the children. Referrals to Red Cross partner agencies were also provided to assist in their long term recovery.
