Hanahan, Goose Creek Tax Preparers Indicted

A Goose Creek woman and a Hanahan woman are facing 21 counts of fraudulent tax return preparation, according to a press release by U.S. Attorney Bill Nettles. 

Latasha Failey, 29, of Goose Creek and Latoya Windham, 30, of Hanahan could face the maximum penalty of three years imprisonment for each count. The tax preparers worked for Failey's Tax Services in North Charleston. 

The case was investigated by agents of the Internal Revenue Service and is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Rhett DeHart of the Charleston office for prosecution.
