Goose Creek Teens Learn Sobering Lesson on Drunk Driving
During a simulation, Goose Creek High School students put their driving skills to the test while wearing 'drunk goggles.'

It was a sobering lesson Thursday for Goose Creek High School students participating in a DUI Rodeo.
Through simulation, students experienced the dangers of driving while under the influence, driving while texting and driving while under the influence of drugs.
According to Live 5, orange cones represented the lives taken as students tried to navigate an obstacle course while wearing "drunk goggles."

The rodeo was organized by the High School Injury Prevention Coalition, which conducts the seminars monthly at area schools, to raise awareness as spring break, prom and graduation approach.
The next rodeos will be held at West Ashley and at Ashley Ridge, Live 5 reported.
