Limited Hours Set for Commercial Sanitation Pickup
New ordinance prohibits commercial sanitation services from operating before 6 a.m.

There were no reported complaints when re-codificationΒ stripped the town of an ordinance preventing sanitation companies from operating before 6 a.m., but Goose Creek City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to give first reading to reestablish the ordinance.Β
The restriction was inadvertently lifted in 2009.
Mayor Michael Heitzler said he thought the ordinance was in place, went to check and then realized it had been eliminated. Despite no city restrictions, companies mainly adhered to the rules, Heitzler said during City Council.
