Mother of Injured Infant Also Facing Charges

The mother of an infant found with a skull fracture has been charged with unlawful conduct towards a child, Hanahan Police reported.

Rachael Felicia Enciso, 30, was arrested Thursday.

The 5-month-old infant remains in critical condition nearly one week after emergency personnel rushed him to the hospital. The infant's father Derek Allan Stilson was initially charged in the incident last week.

Stilson was first charged with infliction of great bodily injury toward a child. Investigators said Thursday he will also be charged with unlawful conduct towards a child. Stilson remains in jail on a $250,000 bond.

Enciso faces a maximum of 10 years’ incarceration for the charge. Enciso will have a bond hearing Thursday night or Friday morning.
