Petition Seeks to Have Captain D's Fire Convict

The sister of a murdered Goose Creek man is trying to get a convicted accessory to his murder  "(released) from her duties" at Captain D's in Goose Creek with an online petition.

ThePetitionSite.com, which calls itself the "#1 Petition Site in the World," has hosted the petition authored by Tasha Tesenair, who says she's the sister of Christopher Tesenair. The petition was named "Goose Creek does NOT welcome murderers or their Accessories" and so far has 10 signators. 

Captain D's is one of many restaurant chains that hire convicted felons and ex-offenders. Here is a list of other restaurants that hire convicts. 

Christopher Tesenair of Goose Creek was murdered in 2010 by a man who claimed Tesenair stole his sister's jewelry. Michael Maxwell was convicted of murder and is serving a 60-year sentence. His sister Jennifer Maxwell — who now works at the Goose Creek Captain D's, according to Tasha Tesenair — pleaded guilty to helping cover up the 2007 murder, and was released on probation in 2010, according to Myrtle Beach Online. 

Jennifer Maxwell had pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact of the murder, and the judge sentenced her to 90 days in jail, to be served on weekends, and 100 hours of community service, followed three years probation, Myrtle Beach Online reported.

The petition reads:

My big brother, Christopher Teseniar Sr was brutally and fatally shot in his home, as he lay defenseless and asleep, on November 11th, 2007. He leaves behind a young son, 16 months old at the time of his murder, and now 6 years old. The shooter, Michael Jason Maxwell, has been convicted in his slaying and was sentenced to 60 years in a SC prison . There were also 3 others convicted in connection; Adam Todd Tarpley, Jennifer Maxwell, and Annette D. Henderson.  The Berkeley County Sherif and the Ninth Circuit Solicitor, Anne Williams,  did an amazing job bringing all of these cowards to justice.  HOWEVER,  as Chris' younger sister and his loving family,  we PLEASE URGE you all to sign this petition to keep Mrs. Maxwell (the main assailants younger sister) from working in the Community that we live in. It tears into our hearts once again to see her working at Captain D's in Goose Creek,  and frankly,  makes us and many others not even want to eat at this location ever again. Her face and her lack of remorse disgusts not only my family,  but anyone who ever knew my brother or my family for that matter. I feel that if she is this happy with the harm done to my family,  then she is a threat to our community  as a whole. Please,  Please, sign this petition to help the management of the Goose Creek Captain D's release her from her duties and to find a place where Mrs. Maxwell may be welcome.
