Westview schools locked down briefly Thursday due to nearby incident.

Goose Creek Police launched a manhunt Thursday afternoon after a Pineview resident said two men, armed with a hatchet and an axe, invaded his house on Wilmer Drive.

The incident sparked a locked down of nearby Westview Elementary, Middle and Primary schools.

Goose Creek Police responded to the home at around 12:29 p.m. Thursday, after the resident had fled to a neighboring business. The intruders had already left the residence. Police set up a perimeter and had a canine search the area, but no suspects were found.
